Jordan of Long Beach players say that they are ready to make a run for the Moore League title this year. The buzz in North Long Beach is that the football team has overcome issues that troubled the program in the past and that they are now playing as a team. The loss to Santa Monica last week was the first this season and they are about to begin league play. Millikan will be a test this Friday, but their entire league schedule will take a team effort and mistake free football if they want to earn a playoff spot. First and Goal will follow L.B. Inglewood 36 Culver City 28 The Inglewood Sentenels went into Centaurs stadium just hoping to contain the high scoring offense of Culver City featuring the passing of Marquel Carter, the running of Kendall Gordan and the Receving of Edwin Tillman. What they did was play good defense and sound offense to the tone of a 23-7 halftime lead.Lets not forget the Sentenels have a few weapons of their own in star caliber receiver Shaquille Evans and RB's Marquis Gardner and Adam Bass.
